Turmeric Water Uses

Is there an ideal time to drink turmeric water? There are, however, a time and place for every type of water consumption. Water is necessary for the sustenance of all bodily processes and is known to be a natural colon cleanser. When taken in adequate amounts it can also prevent illness and disease.

Turmeric originated in the east as an aromatic spice used for many dishes. Modern research has shown that it has numerous health benefits. It is a powerful antioxidant, anti-cancer agent and free radical scavenger. It can help prevent cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s. It is also reported to be effective against herpes, shingles, genital warts, influenza and even cancer.

Turmeric also helps support your digestion by acting as a mild laxative. It aids in the movement of toxins out of your digestive tract. It reduces gas and bloating, and can be used as a treatment for constipation. It also helps keep your heart healthy by reducing the risk of heart disease. It is effective against ulcers, periodontal disease, liver disease and inflammation.

The role of turmeric as a colon cleanser is supported by the recent study at the University of Cleveland. Researchers studied two groups of women. One group had no history of intestinal illness and the other group had a history of heart disease, diabetes and stroke. After about a month on a diet containing turmeric, the women who ate less turmeric were significantly less likely to have any colon related problems or have a heart attack.

There are many other turmeric water uses. In ancient Ayurvedic medicine, it was used for a variety of ailments. It is also an anti-cancer agent and has proven effectiveness in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. The anti bacterial and anti fungal properties found in turmeric help the body fight these and other viruses.

It is also known to be an effective antioxidant. Oxidants are needed for the safe transportation of free radicals, which can damage cells in the body. The more free radicals you have in your body, the faster you will age. However, if your body can create its own radicals, then you are protected from premature aging.

Research conducted by David Sinclair found that drinking turmeric water on a regular basis helped reduce the number of seizures he had in his epilepsy trial. It was also effective in treating post menopausal women who suffered from hot flashes. Women taking turmeric water during menopause had greater hormonal balances and enjoyed a better sex life than those who did not use turmeric water.
