How to Use Baking Soda for Hair Removal

You need to mix baking soda with some ingredients as discussed below and then allow the mixture to stay on the hair for certain minutes before rinsing it off.

Turmeric and Baking Soda for Hair Removal

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda
  • 2 cups of water

Preparation Time: 5 mins.

Procedure:

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon of baking soda with a cup of water to prepare a thick paste.
  • Gently apply it on the hair and allow it to stay on till it dries completely.
  • Scrub this mixture softly by use of fingers or wet cloth.
  • Rinse it off using a cup of water and pat dry.
  • Alternatively, milk or rosewater can also be used in place of water.

How it works: The properties present inside turmeric are found to put off the hair growth by gradually shrinking the hair follicles. Through regular application, the method can lessen the hair growth fully.

Repetitions: Once in 2 days.

Best time to apply: At any time of day.

Tips: After applying this treatment, if you wish to remove the turmeric stains that are left then you could discard them by massaging a cotton ball dipped in coconut oil or milk.
